The industrial alliance of European small and medium-sized enterprises was joined by the encryption solution provider in March 2021.
Tresorit is the second company to support the development of Encryption Europe as part of the alliance’s strategy to enter the debate with private and public stakeholders as well as representatives of civil society. It represents a very good signal for the future of the European encryption market and in particular for the way in which Encryption Europe could understand the needs of SMEs. Tresorit represents a new type of reference for the alliance as the company has been highlighted as the fifth fastest-growing cybersecurity company in Europe by the Financial Times and has offices in Budapest/Hungary, Munich/Germany, and Zurich/Switzerland.
“Encryption, or more precisely, end-to-end encryption has been the backbone of Tresorit’s service from the very beginning. This technology is critical to protect online privacy and thus help digital services maintain the trust of both citizens and businesses. We are proud of being a European company and operate in an environment where our values are mirrored in the European Union’s strong support for data privacy. We are excited to join forces with other privacy-focused companies as a member of Encryption Europe and work together to advocate for the EU to uphold its high data protection standards.”, said Istvan Lam, co-founder, and CEO at Tresorit.
Jean-Christophe Le Toquin, the coordinator of the alliance, replied and shared his thoughts:
“Tresorit has always been among the most vocal European company in the encryption industry in favour of privacy online, and their service is fully aligned with the goal of our alliance, which is to make encryption simple for everyone. Another strength of the company is that it believes in the necessity of working collectively. All this explains why our community of entrepreneurs warmly welcomes Tresorit in Encryption Europe.”
Tresorit is an end-to-end encrypted productivity solution for ultra-secure collaboration including managing, storing, syncing, and transferring files. More than 10,000 businesses around the world use Tresorit to protect their confidential data and securely share information internally within their teams and with external clients and partners.
Encryption Europe is an industry alliance of European companies committed to making encryption simple, useful, and stable for everyone.
