End-to-end encryption is gaining momentum in enterprise workplace applications as leading vendors such as Microsoft or Zoom are now integrating this privacy-first technology into their collaboration and productivity tools.
Watch the replay on the Internet Society website:
Is e2ee a nice-to-have or a must-have feature for businesses? End-to-end encryption – as opposed to at-rest and in-transit encryption – is gaining some momentum in enterprise applications as well (see for example Microsoft Teams or Zoom integrating this technology). But will we, and should we, reach one day where all enterprise SaaS applications from sales management software to collaboration tools manage data in this way and only the owner and the recipient have the keys and not the cloud provider? What would be the advantages of this for companies and is there enough awareness on how stronger encryption can strengthen data security and compliance strategies and help companies move into the cloud? During our webinar, we share perspectives and insights on whether e2ee can become a new standard for data security for enterprise software applications and what could be the trade-offs of this in terms of usability and features.
What are the pros (and possibly cons) of using end-to-end encryption as opposed to modular key management or encryption services?
How can this technology help businesses strengthen their cloud and compliance strategy?
Then, the panel of experts invited by Encryption Europe member, Tresorit, will share their thoughts on these questions:
- Istvan Lam, CEO of Tresorit;
- Dr. Tobias Höllwarth, President EuroCloud Europe;
- Christophe Bianco, CEO of Excellium Services;
- moderated by Jean-Christophe Le Toquin, Coordinator of Encryption Europe.
